Every staff member plays a crucial role in the success of a health center’s operations and its ability to deliver culturally-affirming, mission-driven care. But, in order for a health center to thrive so must its staff. Healthcare professionals face a multitude of stressors on a regular basis from experiencing a global pandemic to social unrest, high levels of workplace stress, managing patient influxes due to COVID-19, and focusing on practice transformation. All the while managing the everyday affairs of home and family. Resilience is the ability to recover from difficult and sometimes traumatic life experiences and it is a trait inherent in all of us. Organizations play a crucial role in developing workplaces that support resilience and address the negative effects of burnout. In this interactive workshop, you will learn how to build a more resilient workplace and workforce. Subject matter experts from the Association of Clinicians for the Underserved (ACU) STAR2 Center and A. Lewis Academy, Inc. will guide you through knowledge-development and skill-building as you develop action items to implement at your health center to increase staff satisfaction and well-being.

  • Identify methods for resiliency and self-care skill-building.
