The CHCAMS will host their Virtual Spring Clinical Conference for the community health centers’ multi-disciplinary care teams providing care to patients of all ages. The COVID-19 Pandemic not only stalled but, in some instances, halted primary care capacity. Health centers are challenged with finding innovative ways to enhance primary care, bridge the gap in services and meet patient care needs. Conference sessions will address the historical impact of COVID-19 and its impact in primary care, strategies to safely resume and improve cancer screenings as well as effective diabetes management during a Pandemic.
3.0 contact hours will be awarded for nursing
“This nursing continuing professional development activity was approved by the Mississippi Nurses Foundation, Inc., an accredited approver by the American Nurses Credentialing Center’s Commission on Accreditation.”
This activity has been planned and implemented in accordance with the accreditation requirements and policies of the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME) through the Community Health Center Association of MS (CHCAMS). The Community Health Center Association of Mississippi is accredited by the Mississippi State Medical Association to provide continuing medical education for physicians.
