Topic: Oral Health in the Face of COVID-19

Upon completion of the presentation, participants should be able to:
List two disparities in oral health based on race, ethnicity, income, or location (rural vs. metropolitan);
List and explain at least four factors that affect access to dental care; and
Describe in detail how the COVID-19 pandemic has affected dental care, including utilization, in the U.S.

Presentation Outline:

Overview of the U.S. Public Health Service
· Description of oral health inequities in the U.S., including in rural America
· List of barriers to access to care in the U.S. and how these impact rural America
· Summary of COVID-19 and oral health, including impact on delivery of care and opportunities for the future
