IPA

Primary Care Coalition of Mississippi (PCCM), is the Community Health Center Association of Mississippi (CHCAMS) affiliated Independent Practice Association (IPA). CHCAMS, in collaboration with its primary care providers, which presently include FQHCs, established a messenger model IPA network in 2013 to address the future of health care delivery.

Through the establishment of this network, the IPA supports FQHC providers to improve the quality and efficiency of care provided and offer meaningful value to payors. Our messenger model provider IPA network works collaboratively with the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS), Medicaid Coordinated Care Organizations (CCOs), Medicare Advantage plans, and other commercial payors to support FQHCs in providing premium care to Mississippians statewide.

PCCM leverages one of the largest provider networks in the State of Mississippi, serving patients in every county in the state, to bring payors to the table with contracts that benefit the member FQHCs as well as the payors. As a messenger model IPA, PCCM does not negotiate contracts. Rather, it simply provides a platform for FQHCs to join together and negotiate contracts that include a range of incentive or shared savings programs aimed at meeting or exceeding quality and financial targets.

PCCM aims to enable a high performing preferred provider network that enjoys financial growth and sustainability, while providing cost effective, high quality patient centered primary care.
